YASEMİN YELBAY YILMAZ

Dr. Yasemin Yelbay Yılmaz has 20+ years combined experience as an English teacher, teacher development professional and administrator. She worked as deputy director of Hacettepe University School of Foreign Languages, she founded and directed the PDU’s of Hacettepe University and TOBB University of Economics in Ankara. She has extensive experience in INSET programme design at K12 level through her work at various
foundation colleges in Turkey. She is an executive board member of TESOL Turkey. She worked as a visiting lecturer at Ca’Foscari University in Italy where she taught Turkish as a foreign language. She gave workshops as guest speaker in collaboration with TESOL Italy. She has a PhD in Applied Linguistics from Ankara University with a focus on teaching vocabulary and neurolinguistics processes involved in learning vocabulary. Her current professional interests are teacher education research and teacher cognition.
